When Ness and I set off home from the Lake District heading for Somerset we were not sure about going straight home or stopping over night. When we got south of Birmingham motorway signs were warning of long delays from Bristol to Bridgwater so this made our mind up.
Having covered over 200 miles we turned off the M5 at Tewksbury and headed south on A38 looking for campsites. We ended up at the Red Lion Inn Caravan and Camping site. The pub was on the banks of the River Seven with beer garden in front and campsite to the side. It was Saturday on the bank holiday weekend but there was plenty of room and more surprising a pitch with hook up was only £13 per night. the site was clean, tidy and level with good facilities. From the location of the pub you expect it to be an expensive up market food house but it was in fact a humble traditional pub with good cheap pub grub. We thought it was an excellent find and for anyone interested the post code is GL2 9LW, they have a web site as well.

Cheers for that John, given it a good mention in the club journal. Come on guy and gals, you must all have used some nice little sites this summer, so why not give them a mention here?
