The power steering unit has now been fitted . It consists of a small unit below the dash.It has a control that allows you to set the amount of assistance given across a significant range. This is done by turning a small knob when sat in the driving seat.It works ( to date) surprisingly well .The vehicle no longer requires large inputs of effort when turning the vehicle at slow speeds. Is it really necessary -no. Am I glad I have it-yes.
To date I am aware that is has been fitted (by my local workshop) to a pair of MGBs and an Austin Healy 3000.I am told it can be fitted to almost any vehicle
