What a great picture :D My first camping experience in the 60s was in a converted Morris LD ambulance....I kept asking my dad "are we there yet", he said "be a little patient in the back"

Two adults, 3 children and dog and 1 big bed . We went from John O Groats to lands end and ever where in between .If you braked hard in the wet the front and back would happily change places. The wheels took a 7.5 x 16 tire and were the devil to change. I bought it ex service at an auction for £100 and fitted it out with discontinued kitchen door fronts, a lot of plywood and items from scrap caravans. I think I must have spent around £250 in total. At that time converting ex-ambulances to campers was not unusual I can remember five in a row at a camp site in Scotland. Happy days.I still regret parting with her.
